Bristol Academy of Voice Acting Ltd ('BRAVA', 'we', 'us', 'our') is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal data when you use our website (www.brava.uk.com) or engage our services.
 

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. BRAVA is the data controller for personal data collected through our website and services.

  • Name, billing address, and payment details; payment card information is processed securely through our payment provider and not stored by us

When you join our mailing list

  • Name and email address

  • Your stated topic preferences (Voice Acting or BRAVA Business)

When you apply to or join the Talent Casting Database

  • Name, contact details, professional biography, headshot and audio demo reel

  • Correspondence relating to your listing

When you interact with us professionally

  • Business contact details for corporate clients and their representatives

  • Relevant professional information provided during an engagement

How and why we use your data?

We only use your personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so. The table below sets out our purposes and the legal basis for each:

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share it with the following categories of third party, only where necessary and subject to appropriate safeguards:

•       Service providers who help us deliver our services (e.g. website hosting, email platform, payment processing) - these act as data processors on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements

•       Google Analytics, which processes anonymised usage data to help us understand how our website is used

•       HMRC or other regulatory authorities where we are legally required to disclose information

We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK or European Economic Area unless adequate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and in line with any legal obligations. Our standard retention periods are:

  • Client and booking records: 6 years from the end of the engagement (in line with UK limitation periods for contract claims)

  • Financial and payment records: 6 years (in line with HMRC requirements)

  • Marketing consent records: until you withdraw consent, plus a reasonable period thereafter

  • Website analytics data: as configured within Google Analytics (typically 26 months)

  • Talent Casting Database listings: for the duration of your listing, plus a reasonable period to handle any subsequent queries

  • Enquiry correspondence: up to 2 years if no booking results

When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it securely.

  • Essential cookies: necessary for the website to function correctly

  • Analytics cookies: we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised data about how visitors use our site. This includes pages visited, time spent, and general location. This data does not identify you personally.
